Sales Profile-R identifies the potential, competencies, and motivations needed to succeed in sales. As well as being an indispensable tool for recruitment, Sales Profile-R can also be used for training, internal mobility, and sales force audits.

Results are matched with 25 sales roles representative of the needs in the area. Sales Profile-R can be used to identify sales potential in non-sales people (engineers, technicians, or others).
The SALES PROFILE-R can be combined with other personality questionnaires such as Central Test’s Professional Profile or the CTPI-R in order to acquire a more precise and comprehensive profile of the individual. For instance, combining the CTPI-R, which assesses work personality and managerial abilities, with the SALES PROFILE-R, can be useful in evaluating a person's potential as a Sales Director.
Also, when combined with other personality tests, the SALES PROFILE-R can corroborate personality dimensions that could indicate an aptitude for sales, such as a high score on the “Persuasiveness” or “Firmness” factors from the Professional Profile.

A revised version of the Sales Profile, the SALES PROFILE-R, was launched in 2011. This revision was done in order to update the test and adapt it to the changes in the professional world as well as to bring the test closer to sales reality by creating more situational questions and thus evaluate sales potential in a more precise way.

This test works with all modern computer operating systems including Windows, MAC-OS and Linux and no supervision required to administer the test. A PDF version of the questionnaire is available on request. An administrator must manually enter candidate responses into the online platform to generate reports.
The test was designed to be easily used by individuals from diverse backgrounds and those with a range of special needs. All test-takers are able to adjust visual screen specifications based on individual requirements. Alternatively, for blind candidates or those with severe visual disabilities, items may be read aloud by a trained administrator. Individuals with hearing impairments are not excluded from taking the questionnaire since all content is presented visually.
There is no set time limit. The average time for completion is 20 minutes Therefore, individuals with learning disabilities are able to take the time they need to complete the assessment.
Central Test guarantees the security and confidentiality of data generated during the administration of online tests. Access codes are encrypted in the database and cannot be accessed by anyone. Passwords are computationally generated and are not visible to companies. A URL rewriting module (secure link generator) is installed and has transparent parameter passing for the user.
Browsing and data exchange via the Central Test application can be secured and encrypted using SSL. Secure browsing is guaranteed by the https protocol. Our application has a « GeoTrust SSL True BusinessID » digital signature, issued and certified by GeoTrust©. This certificate is irrefutable evidence of our serious attitude towards security and protects all our assessments from phishing attacks. Invitations to take tests are made via secured links that are of limited use. The tests are timed, and IP addresses are tracked. Access to questionnaires may be limited in terms of numbers and duration.
The SALES PROFILE-R has been developed by psychologists and it meets the international requirements for scientific validation. The last study was conducted between June 2014 and May 2015 with a sample size of 1698 people.
Face validity refers to the operationalisation of the concept. It is to see whether ‘on its face’ the test items seem like a good translation of the construct. This is probably a basic way to try to demonstrate validity as it is highly subjective in nature. We need to rely on our subjective judgments for a number of practical purposes. To improve the quality of face validity assessment we made it more systematic and objective in nature by sending the test items to our panel of experts for their review and on basis of their feedback, only items showing consistentagreement were finally retained in the test.
Content validity refers to the extent the content of the test (factor descriptions and items) present true functionality of the construct. This is again done by the panel of the experts. The test indicates good level of content validity as most of its contents are aligned with that of the expert.

Arabic Norms :The Arabic version of the SALES PROFILE-R questionnaire was administered to professional working samples from Middle East, during the period from June to August 2015. Participants were aged from 20 to 57 years (M=29.51, SD=7.04).

Note: The SOVA Cognitive ability tests (verbal, numerical, and logical) are timed tests although the time is not present on screen. Therefore, we ask candidates to work as accurately and as quickly as they can – remember, ability tests measure maximum performance.
