The Reasoning Test-R allows you to assess a candidate’s logical, numerical and verbal reasoning abilities for their intelligence quotient (IQ). It helps to improve the reliability of your hiring decision by comparing candidates on the basis of an objective criteria. The Reasoning Test-R is available as a full version labelled Reasoning Test (Corporate)- 40 miniutes and a shorter version as Reasoning Test 20 minutes.

The test was also examined against some socio-cultural considerations like gender, region, educational background and age. These findings provide a good estimate of sensitivity of the test. With an objective of examining the socio-cultural influences on the scores of REASONING TEST - CORPORATE, a comparative statistical analysis was conducted.
Periodic assessment of sensitivity and fine-tuning of a test are crucial to its long-term survival and effectiveness. REASONING TEST - CORPORATE has been subject to a series of validation studies since its first online publication in July, 2007. The latest validation study was conducted in the month of May, 2010.

Our platform works with all modern computer operating systems including Windows, MAC-OS and Linux and no supervision required to administer the test. A PDF version of the questionnaire is available on request. An administrator must manually enter candidate responses into the online platform to generate reports.
The test was designed to be easily used by individuals from diverse backgrounds and those with a range of special needs. All test-takers are able to adjust visual screen specifications based on individual requirements. Alternatively, for blind candidates or those with severe visual disabilities, items may be read aloud by a trained administrator. Individuals with hearing impairments are not excluded from taking the questionnaire since all content is presented visually.
This is a timed test but we are able to allocate the required duration to complete the test for individuals with learning disabilities as per their needs.
Central Test guarantees the security and confidentiality of data generated during the administration of online tests. Access codes are encrypted in the database and cannot be accessed by anyone. Passwords are computationally generated and are not visible to companies. A URL rewriting module (secure link generator) is installed and has transparent parameter passing for the user.
Browsing and data exchange via the Central Test application can be secured and encrypted using SSL. Secure browsing is guaranteed by the https protocol. Our application has a « GeoTrust SSL True BusinessID » digital signature, issued and certified by GeoTrust©. This certificate is irrefutable evidence of our serious attitude towards security and protects all our assessments from phishing attacks. Invitations to take tests are made via secured links that are of limited use. The tests are timed, and IP addresses are tracked. Access to questionnaires may be limited in terms of numbers and duration.
Construct Validity: The items on this test were chosen by a team of psychologists, senior corporate executives, university academicians, statisticians and other relevant personnel after numerous consultations. These items are continuously reevaluated and updated depending on relevant statistical data.
Concurrent validity occurs when the criterion measures are obtained at the same time as the test scores. This indicates the extent to which the test scores accurately estimate an individual’s current state with regards to the criterion. For example, on the Corporate IQ Test, concurrent validity is established by comparing candidates’ scores to their current functioning within companies and/or to their academic performance, as it is deemed appropriate. It is expected that candidates with higher IQ scores perform well on company tasks and academic endeavors. This was found to be true during recurrent validation studies, thus establishing the criterion/concurrent validity of the test.

Analyses are done on a sample of 284 candidates who completed the test between January and May 2010 consisting of males and females with an age range of 18 to 63 years. The educational level of candidates ranged from diploma/vocational training to masters level from diffrent geographical locations including Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and other locations.

Note: The SOVA Cognitive ability tests (verbal, numerical, and logical) are timed tests although the time is not present on screen. Therefore, we ask candidates to work as accurately and as quickly as they can – remember, ability tests measure maximum performance.
